At the same time they changed heads and manifold to run on straight gas..
Years ago we overhauled it and got it running again.

Greetings Horst I have a Farmall Model H Serial # 373345X1. I'm looking for a hydraulic pump for the loader which was attached when purchased in South Texas in 1989. I got it for a pulling tractor, Not knowing what I was getting. It looks rough now, but I plan to restore it this winter! The tractor runs like a champ and neither of us would trade it for anything. What could be the reason that the tractor engine sounds great but when put into gear it will not move forward in any gear or reverse? We have used deisel fuel, but unfortunaly that has not worked.
Any idea where to purchase the entire hydraulic pump? My friend and I recently co-purchased a Model H which looks pretty much like the one in the photo. I own a 1941 H with a cab, YES A CAB, the guy I got it from redid tractor about 15 years ago, He pulled it off the neighbor's rock pile. If anyone has any suggestions I will be willing to try them.
If I'm wrong on the model H, please let mefay gilliand you can go to any case IH dealer and ask them where you can get a rebuild kit but try ebay first rachelle you have a 1939 h but do you have x1,x2,or x3 andy you have a 1949 h but do you have a x1,x2,or x3Want to trade a 1939 Ford 9n tractor with high and low 3 speed for A larger tractor.
